A Study in Leather
Material, character and craftsmanship.
TAURILLON LAGUN
Full-grain Taurillon leather with a rich, substantial feel, balanced by an elegantly supple and silky touch. Selected for the distinctive character it brings to every Nora Vellin piece.
THE SOURCE
ESPELETTE, FRANCE
Our Taurillon Lagun leather is crafted by Tannerie Rémy Carriat, a family-run tannery established in 1927 in Espelette, in the French Basque Country. Nearly a century of tanning expertise shapes carefully selected European hides into leather known for its refined touch, consistency and character.
THE CHARACTER OF TAURILLON LAGUN
-
FULL-GRAIN
The natural grain surface is preserved rather than corrected away, allowing the leather to retain its authentic character and depth.
-
SUPPLE & SUBSTANTIAL
Lagun combines a reassuringly substantial feel with an elegantly supple and silky touch — a balance of structure and softness.
-
SEMI-ANILINE FINISH
Its semi-aniline finish creates a refined, consistent appearance while preserving the character and tactile quality of the leather.
CHOSEN FOR NORA VELLIN
For Nora Vellin, choosing leather begins with how a bag should feel, hold its form and live with its owner.
Taurillon Lagun was chosen for its balance of substance and suppleness, its refined surface and the tactile quality it brings to the finished piece.
In the finished piece, the character of Taurillon Lagun becomes part of the design itself. Its substance supports the silhouette, while its supple hand and refined surface bring softness and tactile depth to the bag.
FROM LEATHER TO FORM
The character of Taurillon Lagun, expressed through the form and details of each Nora Vellin piece.
